ABOUT ME
Picture
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the year 2000, where I grew up shooting competitive Olympic archery and took over my parents garage with metal working machine tools. I did my undergrad in mechanical engineering at UC Santa Barbara where I specialized in acoustic emission testing of ceramics and machine tool design before moving to Colorado School of Mines to get my Masters Thesis. At Mines my research is in high strain rate materials testing and thermo-mechanical properties of open cell foam for military helmet liners. 

I specialize in mechanical test, R&D manufacturing, analog circuits, mechatronics, and design of experiments.

Languages: Python, G-Code, Matlab, Labview, C++, LUA etc. 
​Solidworks: CAD, CAM, Simulation, Flow simulation
Autodesk Suit: Fusion 360 (CAD/CAM) , HSM Works

Skills

Design of precision equipment: Test fixtures, microfluidic molds, PCB alignment devices
Machining/Manufacturing:  Proficient with CNC and manual machine tools, reading/producing engineering drawings, metrology, designed and manufactured over 175 separate laboratory parts and fixtures
​Design of Experiments: Conceived and carried out numerous innovative tests for detection of crack propagation in brittle materials, characterized parameters for printing high temp thermoplastics such as PEEK and PEI
Analog Circuits: Designed and built analog circuits for signal amplification, PWM control, timing, thermal regulation
