Machine Tools
Both of my CNC machine tools in the shop are "small" machines with about a 500 lb casting each. They were originally SYIL branded machines that came from the factory with stepper motors on all axis. When I took possession of these machines neither of them were in working condition and both required a complete tear down and rebuild as well as brand new electronics. Both machines were retrofitted with THK ball screws and Scheerer thrust bearings to reduce backlash to under 0.0005" and running a Pokeys 57 CNC board and Mach4.
3D Printers
My two main printers are composed of a highly modified Voron 2.4 with dual extrusion raising print heads thats capable of printing PEEK and PEI. With water-cooling on all motors and an actively heated chamber with temps exceeding 100C this printer is my version of Stratasys on a budget.
Learn more My second printer is a Form3 which is my favorite resin printer of all time. The scanning laser and low peel force of this printer make it incredibly reliable and the resin handling eliminates cleaning when switching materials. I've never messed with the Form4 but compared to other SLA and DLP printers the Form3 has no voxels, (its a scanning laser, duh) and makes some of the best parts for a lab due the the characterization of their resin and the print accuracy.
